Sterile / Non-sterile compounding pharmacist

Job Summary TheSterile and Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacistis responsible for preparing, reviewing, and verifying sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP <797> and cGMP standards, state regulations, and internal SOPs. The pharmacist will oversee cleanroom and non-sterile practices, and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and compliance staff to ensure safe and accurate compounding processes. Key Responsibilities • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, including injectables, creams, capsules, non-sterile solutions, suppositories. • Ensure all compounding meets cGMP and state board pharmacy standards • Supervise and train sterile and non-sterile compounding technicians and cleanroom personnel • Maintain accurate compounding records, logs, and labeling • Oversee environmental monitoring and cleanroom workflow compliance • Participate in internal audits, CAPA reviews, and QA/QC reporting • Able to Write operational/production SOP’s. • Assists in documentation. • Responsible for maintaining control substances inventory. • Must have or be willing to obtain out of state licensure for pharmacist license in a time efficient manner. Qualifications • PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy • Valid Pharmacist License in the State of California • Minimum 3 years of experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding (hospital, 503B, or outpatient setting) • Knowledge of USP <797>, cGMP, and cleanroom protocols • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Preferred Skills • Prior experience in 503B outsourcing facility or specialty compounding pharmacy • Aseptic technique certification (e.g., media fill, glove fingertip testing) Benefits • Health and dental insurance • 401(k) with employer match • Paid time off and holidays • Continuing education support and licensure fee reimbursement • Leadership track into Production Manager or QA/QC roles Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off Experience: • sterile compounding: 3 years (Required) • non-sterile compounding: 3 years (Required) • training staff: 3 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • CA Pharmacist license (Required) Ability to Commute: • Torrance, CA 90501 (Required) Work Location: In person
