Stocker / Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stocker / Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining product displays, ensuring shelves are stocked, and providing exceptional customer service at the checkout. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for retail sales. Responsibilities • Stock shelves with products in an organized manner to ensure availability and visibility. • Assist customers with inquiries and provide knowledgeable product information. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions. • Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. • Perform merchandising tasks to enhance product presentation and promote sales. • Conduct product demos to engage customers and drive interest in featured items. • Upsell products when appropriate to enhance customer experience and increase sales. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store. Experience • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. • Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills. • Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team setting. • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is essential. • Strong phone etiquette for customer interactions and inquiries is highly valued. • Experience in merchandising, stocking, and conducting product demos will be beneficial. • Excellent communication skills are necessary to provide outstanding customer service and foster positive relationships with shoppers.
