Maven is looking for a self-motivated, quantitative thinker who will play a critical role in our pricing strategy and process as we scale. Maven's pricing function has broad exposure across the business and shapes account-level strategy through analytics. You will have the opportunity to work with operations, growth, legal, clinical, and our executive leadership teams to analyze growth projections, deal margins, and value-based care models.

For candidates in NYC, CO, or CA, the base salary range for this role is $105,000-$130,000 per year. You will also be entitled to take part in our company bonus program, stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset

Maven is looking for a self-motivated, quantitative thinker who will play a critical role in our pricing strategy and process as we scale. Maven's pricing function has broad exposure across the business and shapes account-level strategy through analytics. You will have the opportunity to work with operations, growth, legal, clinical, and our executive leadership teams to analyze growth projections, deal margins, and value-based care models.
As a Strategic Finance & Pricing Associate at Maven, you will:
- Build standard as-well as account-specific pricing models, that allow our sales and client success teams to quickly understand enrollment projections, product pricing and final deal terms
- Lead the review of all pricing proposals from sales and client success, including proposing innovative, alternative pricing structures and the escalation process where necessary
- Develop a deep understanding of Maven's unit economics to ensure we drive competitive margins across all deals
- Manage executive leadership-level dashboards and KPIs that deliver transparency and accountability for deal volume, value, and profitability
- Develop innovative budgeting and feedback loops that align incentives between sales / growth and margin goals
- Automate our ability to quantify value-based pricing and performance guarantee impact
- Partner with Product Marketing to maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor products, pricing, and market penetration
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the current deal review process along with proposing innovative ways to drive automation across the teams involved
- Collaborate with Strategic Finance to define the optimal pricing for new products and market segments
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business operations, or as a financial analyst / associate at a fast-paced, high-growth startup
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to run against problems with little direction, experience knowing when and how to escalate effectively
- Strong analytical mindset with expert financial modeling skills and ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies, and financial plans
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with different pricing models and strategies
- Superior story-telling and data visualization capabilities (experience with Looker is a plus)
- A track record of thriving in fast paced environments
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and manage complex projects across multiple teams
- High energy, high integrity leadership style with a positive outlook, collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
- A sense of flexibility and prioritization in juggling both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience, ideally within early stage, high growth SaaS or subscription-based business models
- Experience with the Salesforce platform, its architecture, and in-depth understanding of best practices and optimal configurations
