Job Description:
Responsible for performing finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced stress analyses on transmission components, sub-systems, and systems as well as supporting transmission integration and installation. The Structural Analysis Engineer will provide support to all product lines at all stages of maturity. Primary duties are supporting new product design and development, improving current product performance, ensuring design robustness, and reducing reliance on physical testing.

Job Description:
Responsible for performing finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced stress analyses on transmission components, sub-systems, and systems as well as supporting transmission integration and installation. The Structural Analysis Engineer will provide support to all product lines at all stages of maturity. Primary duties are supporting new product design and development, improving current product performance, ensuring design robustness, and reducing reliance on physical testing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform FEA and advanced stress analyses on transmission components and assemblies: shafts, splines, housings, housing assemblies, and clutch assemblies.
- Perform powertrain integration and installation analyses.
- Use analytical results to recommend appropriate design changes during transmission development.
- Perform design trade-offs and optimization.
- Perform failure analysis of hardware.
- Provide analytical engineering consultation.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 3-7 years of experience
- Experience in performing FEA and advanced stress analysis.
- Experience in FEA software NX and Simcenter3D/ANSYS required.
- Extensive and advanced knowledge and understanding in material strength.
- Experience in material processes including heat treatment preferred.
- Experience in stress and fatigue life analysis technology required.
- Experience in failure analysis technology required.
- Experience in Transmission Design and Powertrain Integration preferred
- Experience in other common analysis software (AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink) preferred.
- Excellence in written and spoken English required.
- Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Planning and organizational skills
