Yellow Wood Academyis seeking qualified Long-Term Substitute Teachers. The ideal candidate will be available for general education classes in grades 4-12. The days and hours can vary, typically Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We are looking for someone who is available for a longer-term commitment, with the potential for additional assignments depending on needs.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
• Respect and dedication to working with neurodiverse students and those requiring additional accommodations.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to individual students’ needs, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to express ideas clearly.
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving requirements and changes in educational needs.
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive student information.
• Experience working in a diverse, student-centered environment is a plus.
• Ability to use Google Suite/Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and willingness to learn and use the school’s integrated data-based software system.
• Successful completion of a background check and three professional references required.
Responsibilities:
• The guest teacher provides instruction to students (as directed by the instructor's lesson plans) including assessment, instruction, and evaluation of students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Guest teachers may also be asked to provide class coverage on an as needed basis.
• Interact with students and maintain a cordial and cooperative working relationship with colleagues, parents, administrators, and other staff.
• Provide guidance to students that will promote their educational development.
• Follow teacher's lesson plans and provide documentation as to the progress achieved during the substitute assignment.
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday 8:00-3:30 as needed
• On call for daily and longer term assignments
Pay: $150.00 - $200.00 per day
Work Location: In person
