Job Title: Full-Time Substitute Teacher (Floater) Reports to: Campus Principal Location: In-Person, CASLV Eastgate – Henderson, NV Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month (School Year)Position Summary: The Full-Time Substitute Teacher (Floater) serves as an on-call educator within the school, supporting classroom instruction in the absence of regular teachers. The Floater maintains a consistent presence on campus, stepping into any classroom and subject as needed while upholding school policies, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring student safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or school administration. • Deliver instruction across grade levels and content areas as needed. • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. • Ensure continuity of instruction and classroom routines. • Provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior. • Supervise students during classroom and non-classroom activities (e.g., lunch, recess, transitions). • Manage classroom behavior and implement school-wide behavior expectations. • Assist with clerical or administrative tasks during non-assigned class periods. • Participate in professional development as required. • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • Valid Nevada Substitute Teaching License or ability to obtain one. • Ability to adapt to diverse classrooms and subject areas. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Ability to follow established policies and procedures.Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a K-12 educational setting. • Commitment to the mission and values of Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas. • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.Work Environment: This is an in-person role on a CASLV school campus.
