Perks & Compensation: • Earn up to $218 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term pay varies by certification, school, and assignment • Paid training hours and professional development opportunities (variable by state) • Weekly paychecks via direct deposit • Hired as a W-2 employee so no worrying about withholding your own taxes • Reimbursement for expenses related to state and federal background checks • 401k enrollment after meeting eligibility requirements • Referral Program: Refer friends to sub with Scoot - after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards • The role is non-exempt. Actual pay is hourly and based on hours worked Role Requirements: • Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits • Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor • State & federal background checks • A TB risk assessment or test You’ll Stand Out If You: • Passion for education and putting students first • An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be • Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit • Have previous experience in special education settings • Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience What You’ll Do: • Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day • Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher • Communicate clearly with school staff • Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher About Scoot Education Scoot Education is a thoughtful staffing partner with a mission to help create exceptional experiences in education.
