The Metrology department is responsible for ensuring all equipment within San Diego is calibrated and appropriately maintained. This includes both hands-on work with the equipment, and creating, tracking, and maintaining the equipment within Agile. With both new and moving equipment, the Metrology group focuses on maintaining compliance with strong customer service.
Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to:
- Learn how to use different types of tools to calibrate specific instruments and equipment
- Collaborate and interact with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met
We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
- Able to work full-time over the summer months (May-August)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior
- Majoring in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytics, detail-oriented, and process controls
- Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided.
The hourly pay range for this role is $19 - $28 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
