Summer Internship: Security, IT and GRC

The Position

We are seeking a Security, IT, and GRC Intern to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet. As a Security, IT, and GRC Intern, you'll work with our security, IT, and GRC teams on a focused project in which you'll learn valuable security and IT skills, while contributing to our mission of motivating and enabling people to save energy. You'll work with IT and Security Team Members that will show you the ropes of the business and give you the opportunity to help improve what we do .
What you get to do:

• Learn and execute the functions of Uplight's Security, IT, and GRC teams
• Define, manage, and complete a project in at least one of the functions
• Perform security functions such as security monitoring, vulnerability management, and security engineering
• Perform GRC functions such as policy management, control testing, and auditing
• Perform IT functions such as system administration and IAM administration

What you bring to Uplight:

• Desire to learn and grow your skills with a dynamic and innovative technology and security focused organization
• Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Technology
• Passionate about creating great user experiences in the domains of energy efficiency and the environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to execute on projects when given direction - you're motivated and will do research and ask questions to keep projects moving
• Demonstrated interest in information security and technology
• Strong communication and time management skills
• An appetite for creative problem solving and the ability to maintain flexibility

Salary Range: $18/hr-$20/hr (dependent upon experience)
