Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team. Responsibilities • Review and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy. • Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions. • Manage inventory effectively, ensuring that medications are stocked and stored according to safety standards. • Prepare and compound medications as needed, adhering to established protocols and guidelines. • Administer medications via various routes, including IV insertion when necessary. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive pain management plans for patients. • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. • Conduct regular assessments of patient medication regimens to optimize therapeutic outcomes. • Participate in medical management initiatives to enhance patient care quality. Skills • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy principles and practices. • Proficient understanding of human physiology and pharmacology. • Experience with compounding medications and IV administration techniques. • Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. • Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices. • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
