Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Drives the commitment for exceptional patient experience

  • Coordinates daily imaging procedures to ensure timely and efficient service delivery

  • Assists technical staff with complex or high‐volume patient procedures as needed

  • Maintains adequate departmental staffing levels to support patient care and workflow demands

  • Monitors, recommends, and implements operational procedures to improve department efficiency and compliance

  • Oversees inventory and coordinates procurement to ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment

  • Participates in and supports department‐wide performance improvement initiatives

  • Organizes and facilitates staff education and training related to procedures, orientation, new technologies, and hospital policies

  • Conducts performance appraisals for department staff as assigned by department leadership

  • Provides guidance and direction in the resolution of staff or patient concerns, incidents, and workflow issues

  • Represents the department in hospital meetings, committees, and collaborative initiatives as requested

  • Ensures adherence to clinical best practices and safety standards in the performance of diagnostic imaging procedures

  • Promotes and educates staff on safety protocols, infection control, emergency procedures, and proper body mechanics relevant to the clinical setting

  • Protects patient and institutional confidentiality in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards

  • Completes and ensures compliance with incident reporting policies and procedures

  • Performs other related duties as required to support the department and hospital mission

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology with three years experience in full service hospital Radiology Department.
  • ARRT and New York license as Radiologic Technologist

Preferred:

  • Previous experience supervising staff.

Work Environment

  • All work is performed in the department which consists of many rooms. These rooms are air conditioned as well as heated, areas are occasionally subject to fumes.
