Summary

You will serve as Chief of Counterintelligence at Brooks Center for Maritime Engagement (BCME) supervising military and civilian personnel in various aspects of Counterintelligence to include Analysis, Direct Support to Field Operations, and Operational Risk Management. This position is located in Suitland, MD.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing supervisory duties with responsibilities involving oversight and direction of organizational collection activities, including identifying and analyzing trends, indications, and warnings of emerging threats, producing Counterintelligence (CI) risk assessments, identifying operational security requirements, and analyzing and testing emerging technologies; 2) Making recommendations for new criteria to incorporate into existing policy and advises senior leadership on decisions that ultimately set precedents and directly impact the formulation and implementation of counterintelligence policies; 3) Reviewing and approving written CI reports of current and planned collection operations and support activities from other CI officers in accordance with organizational standards.

Certification as Counterintelligence Agent from an approved DoD or Service Counterintelligence Course highly desired.
