Supplier Quality Engineer

We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa.

How you'll make an impact

• Developing, coaching, and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies.
• Providing advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards.
• Monitoring and managing supplier performance and quality related metrics. Supporting different stakeholders with supplier related topics.
• Resolving supplier problems related to quality and performance.
• Working effectively together with global and regional supplier quality organizations.

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills
• Competence in functionality of power transformers and its components
• Experience in APQP, PPAP and Quality Management
• Familiarity with problem solving tools such as 8D methodology
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
• Initiative and an independent approach to work
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
• Experience in modern ERP systems
