IKEA Supply is responsible for securing that the product offer is produced and delivered to our customers. We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.

IKEA Purchasing and Logistics Services US Inc. is part of our Americas region which also has an office in Curitiba, Brazil andĀ Mexico City, Mexico, and is a subsidiary of the Inter IKEA Group.

Job Description

  • Stakeholder management: Align with supply chain stakeholders to secure logistical operational performance, as well as create preconditions for smooth and efficient Supply Operations. Act on deviations to the plan together with our partners and secure the communication flow.
  • Secure Availability: Proactively avoid shortages of products in our retail units by taking actions within the supplier capacity frame by working with stakeholders in IKEA of Sweden and purchasing categories. Provide supply information to retail units. Follow up delivery plans and act on deviations to secure product availability, while managing exceptional order.
  • Constraints and limitations: Identify & define constraints together with internal stakeholders to secure preconditions for efficient supply operations and, in general, wished level of logistical performance throughout the year. Follow-up on the compliance of our stakeholders and secure the execution of market-relevant plans.
  • Logistical ("flow") performance: Secure logistical operational performance from end-to-end perspective as it is defined by respective set of KPIs/PIs (e.g. on time delivery, loading times, lead times); within given geographical scope. Follow-up and implement actions within existing and new delivery solutions.
  • Continuous Improvements: Validate and optimize sending and receiving capabilities as a link between all supply chain stakeholders. Act upon fluctuations to avoid performance disruptions and increased total cost.
  • Development: Support the development of working methods and best practices.Ā 
  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications


  • You will work in an international environment and English will be the official language for daily business communication and any other language skills will be a plus point to support the various markets we are taking care.
  • You have aĀ university degree in Logistics, Engineering, Economics or Business administration or equivalent work experience.
  • We want you to be business-minded, able toĀ analyzeĀ the market, challenge cost structure and be comfortable negotiating with stakeholders.
  • You have good knowledge of the Supply Chain, able to take decisions, find synergies,Ā optimizeĀ theĀ network,Ā and spot business opportunities.
  • You work in midterm perspective to deliver the goals, but also able toĀ conceptualizeĀ and build/deliver long term plans.
  • You will be part of a team and working together to deliver results but also able to work independently.
  • We place emphasis on your personalĀ skills; to be successful in the role it is very important that your communication and social skills are excellent.
  • You have the ability to create, maintain and develop business relations.Ā
