Are you looking for an opportunity to work at 5 times nationally recognized "Best Places to work" in Georgia Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is currently recruiting a board-certified general surgeon physician for our surgicalist program to support a busy, established practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a nationally recognized healthcare system.
The ideal candidate will be board certified with a minimum of three years of experience. Trauma and Acute Care Surgery expertise is vital. Candidate must be proficient in minimally invasive and complex open operations. Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center with excellent surgical subspecialty support. Critical Care services are currently provided by an on-site Pulmonary Critical Care group. Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care is a plus, but is not required.
The work schedule consists of rotations of day and night shifts. Surgeons currently work 12-hour shifts in a seven-days-on, seven-days-off schedule. The team is comprised of six surgicalists with robust inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support.
