We are seeking experienced and professional line cook to join our team at DOMODOMO Dallas, Japanese restaurant.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef with strong Japanese restaurant skills and an understanding of traditional sushi preparation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in handling, cleaning, and preparing fish, as well as maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare sushi and sashimi and cold dishes according to Domodomo’s standards of quality and presentation.
• Handle, clean, and store fish with proper techniques to preserve freshness.
• Manage sushi station, including rice preparation and ingredient organization.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station at all times.
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Japanese restaurant, preferably in sushi preparation.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in handling various types of fish and seafood.
• Knowledge of traditional Japanese culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality cuisine.
• Ability to communicate and work well with a team.
