Sushi Chef/ Cook

Overview: We are seeking a skilled an experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Sushi Dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Cook menu items in accordance with recipes and portion control guidelines - Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment - Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes and menu items - Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed - Maintain a clean and organized work station - Adhere to dietary restrictions and special requests from customers - Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow Requirements: - Previous experience working in the food industry as a Sushi Chef or similar role - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology - Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, ovens, etc. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meals - Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures - Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting -Ability to make up to 30 sushi rolls in an hour!
