Sushi Chef/Sushi Sous Chef

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced sushi chef/sushi sous chef with a passion for Japanese cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sushi preparation and presentation, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests through your culinary expertise and creativity. Skilled in sushi preparation, kitchen management, and customer service. Basic proficiency in English communication. Duties • Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes with precision and creativity. • Manage the sushi station, ensuring smooth operations during service. • Maintain food safety standards and hygiene practices. • Provide excellent customer service and address feedback promptly. • Promote teamwork and communication among kitchen staff. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment. • Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food production techniques and inventory management. • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the culinary field. • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating strong leadership skills when needed. • Passion for Japanese cuisine and continuous learning about new trends in sushi preparation. • Previous experience in restaurant management or banquet services is a plus but not required.
