Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting Amcor Flexibles North America’s (AFNA) global sustainability programs by developing / gathering / managing & maintaining sustainability-related data and records, analyzing and deriving the appropriate actions; database administration, project management of key sustainability-related activities, developing and delivering internal and external trainings, arranging and coordinating both internal and external meetings, and other functions as required.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Develop and maintain monthly energy and environmental reporting database (primarily energy, waste, and water) for Amcor Flexibles North America facilities and locations, assure timely and accurate data entry, and work with all manufacturing locations and personnel to accomplish this
    • Analyze results vs. sustainability targets and manage reporting to Amcor Corporate
    • Support efforts to drive environmental performance plans with all AFNA sites to guarantee that they have implemented a roadmap to achieve improvements
  • Coordinate sustainability targets and manage reporting to Amcor Corporate including GHG data following the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • Support automation of sustainability data collection, process improvements and data assurance
  • In conjunction with sales, R&D and marketing, understand and interpret Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and prepare data to be shared externally
  • In conjunction with procurement sustainability leads, coordinate ethical responsibility reporting program (SEDEX) with all Amcor Flexibles North America Plastics manufacturing locations and support business group use of EcoVadis tool
  • Conduct research to support key Amcor sustainability initiatives
  • Represent Amcor Flexibles North America within specified industry organizations; to include communicating on a variety of sustainability-related topics including infrastructure projects, product developments, and regulatory or legislative updates
  • Project manage key internal sustainability engagement activities on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain an awareness of the activity with customers and suppliers and act as a resource with those groups
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals; give internal and external training presentations; and maintain internal SharePoint page
  • Support monthly management reporting with detailed background analysis on sustainability reported KPIs and clear connection with AFNA sites plans, including analysis of products and sales with impact in Sustainability
  • Plan, organize, and control large work volume in a fast-paced environment

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Background in sustainability-related areas or environmental science highly desired
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Ability to work independently and proactively and manage stream completion across functional and business unit lines
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to graphically display and communicate operations information
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge or Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
  • Ability to maintain and deal with confidential information
  • Travel 10%
