Work Location: Bay Area - Hybrid - coming into the office at least 3-days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being set days.
Salary range: The expected base salary for this position is up to $250,000. This is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will consider skill level, experience, and location.

What you'll do:
Relationship Manager for the Bay Area metro-area, focused on venture backed technology companies. Responsible for the region's growth in new business development, all while maintaining high-quality portfolio management. P&L management responsibility for the region including decisioning around deal selection, staffing, marketing spend, all with a business development focus. Responsible for originations, deal filtering, fostering relationships with the VC community and management teams. Leads marketing initiatives. Participates in key decisions related to growth strategy. Mentors junior members for career development. Collaborates with peers across the organization.
What do you need?
- Understanding of venture capital ecosystem, capitalization strategies, venture capital fund structures, business models within the technology industries, venture lending industry and products, appropriate levels of leverage for venture capital backed companies.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in commercial banking/lending, including directly originating business and managing a portfolio, preferably venture banking/lending, with 7+ years in decision-making leadership roles. Ability to develop and execute on a calling plan and manage a region.
- Financial analysis, business writing, problem solving, critical thinking, negotiation, loan/deal structuring with particular emphasis on earlier stage technology companies.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to coach/lead teams, ability to operate and make critical decisions in time sensitive situations, while taking a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BBA, etc.) from four-year college or university
- Advanced education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Must be a team player, with a positive attitude and the willingness to develop and establish a market.
Technology Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft office
