SW IT Specialist z/OS Mainframe

As Infrastructure specialist you will be supporting applications running on System z (e.g. z/OS) platforms.

As your responsibilities you will:
– Maintain design and provision z/OS and add on z/Linux infrastructure considering various cloud architecture and deployment models.
– Focus on z/OS tasks: Configuration & patch management Log monitoring Access management Improve security posture Vulnerability scan execution and resolution.
– Focus on z/Linux: Create Openshift Platform Cluster. Deploy and implement e.g. Ansible playbooks on System z. Implement task control deploying files to manage host and host pattern design role and policy-based playbook creation optimize compute storage and network service design.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 3 years experience as IT infrastructure specialist for maintaining z/OS environments.

• Deep understanding of Mainframe operating systems and program productions such as z/OS RACF DB2 CICS.

• Experience with Copy Services functions e.g. Global Mirror FlashCopy HyperSwap

• Experience with IBM’s e-config and HCD tools

• Experience managing and working across multiple programs and IBM divisions

• Client Presentation Experience

• Very good English skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 5 years experience as IT infrastructure specialist for maintain design and provision of complex z/OS environments.

• Basic Soft Skills: ITIL Foundation and Agile Practices Knowledge and ability to work well as a Team!

• Minimum of 3 years expertise in one (or more) of the following capabilities: SMP/E; z/OSMF; RACF; GDPS; Parallel Sysplex; DB2; CICS; IMS; Security on z
