LOCATION: Ft. Meade, Maryland

Are you a System Administrator who wants to grow in the Cloud!

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, the project will develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. 

Experience in cloud realm is a plus!....but not required. 

(There are SOP's on how to create AWS instances.) 

Linux knowledge thereof: 

 ~ Performing and applying system updates 

 ~ Perform and apply software patches 

 ~ Nice to know Docker, Ansible, GitLab, BigFix 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (of position): 

• Facilitate infrastructure management, continuous integration, environment configuration and deployment 

• Support the project’s compliance and security posture. 

• Focus on delivering the automation that enables all the other teams to operate smoothly. 

• Check email for alerts

• Check VM health status

• Install latest patches on EC2 instances / VMs

• Ensure Org's production website is working

• Run monthly security scans on systems

Nice to Have:

➢ Elasticsearch 

➢ Cloud hosting and automation

QUALIFICATIONS: 

CERTIFICATION: Security+

EXPERIENCE:

• High school + 15 years minimum experience, OR

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience
