Our platform enables clients to manage all B2B payment needs — from acquiring sales, managing fraud, and paying suppliers — all in one place.
ConnexPay’s solutions serve a broad range of industries, including:
• Global travel
• Ticketing
• Insurance and warranty claims
• Loyalty and rewards
• Media and advertising
Our technology reduces payment risk, lowers processing costs, and drives innovation in the payments space. At ConnexPay, people drive culture — and our culture drives results.
The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a System Architect who is ready to transition from a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead role into a broader architectural leadership position.
In this hands-on role, you’ll:
• Lead the modernization of ConnexPay’s CORE payments system
• Drive the transformation from a monolithic architecture to a cloud-native, scalable solution in Azure
• Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver globally scalable, high-performance solutions
This is the right role if you enjoy rolling up your sleeves to prototype solutions, optimize systems, and define architecture standards while still contributing at the code level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable application and database architectures for the CORE payments system in Azure
• Optimize for real-time processing, API performance, and large-scale file consumption
• Provide hands-on technical guidance throughout development, deployment, and monitoring
• Improve database performance and design for high-volume transaction systems
• Implement performance tuning and monitoring strategies using tools like Datadog
• Partner with development and product teams to review code, establish DevOps best practices, and maintain architectural standards
• Build proof-of-concept solutions and communicate architectural tradeoffs effectively
• Troubleshoot scalability challenges and deliver high-value technical solutions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud solution architecture
• Hands-on expertise designing cloud-native enterprise applications in Azure
• Strong background with .NET Framework/Core and/or Java/Spring (deployment and build experience required)
• Skilled in enterprise database architecture, optimization, and scaling (MSSQL, PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency with API development, integration, and high-volume file processing
• Experience with DevOps best practices and code-level contributions — this is not a thought-only role
• Collaborative mindset with proven success in fast-paced, team-driven environments

• Cloud Solutions Architect
• Enterprise System Architect
• Payments Platform Architect
