Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required.

Onsite in Annapolis Junction Maryland - After 60 days, 2 days/week can be worked remotely.

The ideal candidate for this position is somebody who has a combination of System Engineer, Software Engineer and DevOps skills.

Job Description:

System Engineer will serve as part of a highly technical team that is focused on the development and operational support of customer tools. The team works to define system and network strategy as well as shape the future of the intelligence tradecraft. They will provide direct support for a suite of analytic tools and the adaptation of these products to offer the best functionality possible to the end-user.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field 
• Hands-on software/system engineering experience (e.g., Linux scripting, Infrastructure as Code, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, databases, software development)
• Experience working with, deploying, and managing Linux-based OS systems
• Software product testing experience
• Success working across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Understanding of software and infrastructure engineering best practices
• Comprehensive Agile process and tool experience

Nice To Haves:

• Experience working directly with Intelligence Community (IC) mission customers 
• Experience optimizing workflows
• Strong DevOps and System Administration background
• AWS Experience
• Container (Docker) and Container Orchestration understanding
• Understanding of open-source libraries and tools
• Experience with software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment with multiple toolsets such as Ansible, Chef, Containers, Kubernetes
