Ardent is seeking a Systems Architect to join our team.  

This is a Remote/Hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C. area.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Systems Architect. We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex systems and ensuring they align with our business goals. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement end-to-end systems architecture based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop system specifications and architecture diagrams to guide the development team.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of systems.
• Lead and participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes.
• Define system interfaces, integration points, and data flow across components.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of systems architecture.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure architecture guidelines and best practices are followed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Conduct regular system reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements: 

• Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study
• Experience implementing a fully automated infrastructure and application pipeline using guidelines such as those provided for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Team Managed Deployment (TMD)
• Experience setting up and managing Infrastructure as a Code utilizing Ansible, Terraform, and Cloudbees
• Experience utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions such as EC2 and Simple Messaging Service/Simple Queue Service) SMS/SQS
• Experience designing and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
• Experience providing monitoring solutions utilizing Cloudwatch and AppDynamics
• Experience providing high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff
• Experience providing strategy of system and design infrastructure necessary to support future-state initiatives
• Experience providing advise for the selection of technological purchases with regards to architecture initiatives
• Expertise in assessing existing application and system inventory and evaluating adopting new technologies to provide efficiency and cost savings strategies.
• Experience creating and managing technical documents, roadmaps, and providing briefings on SA initiatives.
• Experience implementing Proof of Concepts for serverless and container driven technologies
• Experience creating and helping implement micro service architecture to replace legacy and third-party applications
• Experience providing and managing DevOps current/future state initiatives
