Leads the systems project team in developing programs for hybrid traction motors.

TITLE: Systems Development Lead

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc. seeks a Systems Development Lead based out of our office at 3000 University Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.

Leads the systems project team in developing programs for hybrid traction motors. Contributes to the overall project scope definition and objectives. Plans and schedules activities for the requirements, architecture, integration, functional safety and cyber security engineers on the defined project. Defines content and priorities of systems tasks using a formal task management tool. Key contributor and supporter of the requirements development process. Tracks and reports system activities progress to the project team. Drives systems related internal and externally detected issues to closure, including 8ds. Ensures adherence of the system team activities to the internal ASPICE based development process. Reviews work products to ensure quality and consistency. Coordinates with the System Test Lead (SYTL) to ensure test coverage and traceability. Defines, implements and monitors performance metrics for the systems project team.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics and five years of experience in job offered, systems engineering, technical lead role, or related position. Experience must include: experience with systems engineering principles and guidelines (eg INCOSE); experience with MS project and task management tools (eg. Atlassian JIRA, IBM Rational RTC); experience working within an ASPICE based process environment; experience with requirements engineering principles; experience with delivering a project with functional safety (ISO26262) requirements; experience with propulsion or electric motor systems; experience with Cyber security (ISO 21434); and experience with standard automotive test tools( eg. Vector, NI, DSpace or ETAS).
