The Systems Engineer III position will support the Army Futures Command (AFC) Assured Positioning, Navigation, Timing, and Space (APNT/Space) Cross-Functional Team (CFT). The APNT/Space CFT is responsible for enabling the delivery of advanced requirements and enabling technologies for APNT, Space, Multi Domain Operations (MDO), High Altitude (HA), and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). Working together with a core team of experts, the CFT informs operational requirements and technical performance through continuous experimentation and prototyping, technology integration, and soldier feedback. Through this process, the APNT CFT supports the AFC in delivering next generation weapons, vehicles, and equipment at an accelerated rate, giving Army Forces the ability to deploy, fight, and win decisively against any adversary anytime and anywhere.

More About the Role

Conduct systems engineering analysis including, model-based systems engineering, requirements recommendations, systems architecture, risk analysis and management, and safety analysis and assessment.

Analyze system engineering activities such as architecture studies, development and sustainment, radar or sensor development or modification, new start trade-off analysis, specification requirement allocation, system or system of system requirement document development, specification flow down analysis, and compliance with acquisition system streamlining guidance to develop technical briefings and reports.

Perform engineering integration of various prototyping efforts provided by the Government (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, Space systems, prototype engineering, quality engineering, M&S, and systems engineering).

Integrate program level systems such as program management, systems engineering, performance engineering, prototype management, configuration management, and scheduling.

Expert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

Minimum of 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

Must have at a minimum a High School Diploma

Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

Must have extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.

Able to provide consultation on complex projects and be the top-level contributor/ specialist.

Must have an active secret clearance

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

BA/BS preferred, some positions may require master's degree and/or Ph.D.
