Job Description
LS Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer who will support concepts and system development around unmanned traffic management within the national airspace.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and validate operational concepts, use cases and scenarios; define system architectures; perform functional analysis; and develop and manage requirements for FAA programs relating to UAS Traffic Management (UTM), Upper E Traffic Management (ETM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM)
- Develop and present materials to peers, customers, and executive-level stakeholders
- Interface with FAA stakeholder organizations relating to unmanned traffic management
- Interact with FAA partners in industry concerning stakeholder needs/inputs
- Develop Graphics to communicate high- and low-level concepts to a wide audience
- Perform analysis of air traffic systems
- Prepare and edit of technical reports, papers, and presentations
Required Experience:
- 5- 10 years of experience in an engineering role
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint Presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills, as they relate to working with peers and developing a working relationship with customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Aviation/Aerospace experience highly desired
- FAA support experience
- Experience in developing systems requirements documentation for government acquisition programs
Required Education:
- B.S. in engineering or related field
