What we do:The Systems Integration Engineer, EWIS serves as a part of the overall assembly and integration product team for the eVTOL vehicle. The position is responsible for Harness Design and Harness Routing within the CAD product tree structure in the 3DX/CATIA V6 environment, ensures all aircraft sub-system requirements are properly met for EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnect System). This includes building of prototype and flight test vehicles as well as production flight vehicles.
This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:- Ensure all aircraft sub-system requirements are properly met and packaged efficiently within the airframe structure
- Aid in Zonal management of the digital mock-up CAD of EWIS
- Aid in managing routing envelopes for all systems
- Collaborate with various engineering subject areas to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft
- Aid in the creation of multitude standardized processes and procedures, while collaborating with the System and Design teams throughout the design phases
- Control space allocation for all systems
- Ensure all systems is accessible and maintainable
- Ensure all system separation requirements is upheld
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in aviation and/or automotive industries (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Expertise in Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and Harness Design specifications and wiring schematics
- Expertise in Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and Harness CAD
- CAD (CATIA V5/V6/3DX) and BOM experience
- Experience in aviation, automotive, and/or the mobility space with UAS or UAM
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Highly collaborative and works well both independently and with a team
- Sense of urgency, proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
- Experience with Zonal Analysis desired
- Experience with Interface Control Document (ICD) and Interface Control Model (ICM) documentation preferred
- Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) preferred
- Familiarity with practical application of DO-160 desired
- Aircraft Functional Hazard Assessment (AFHA) preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
