Tax Accountant

Finance Unit monitors the Company's financial health in order to increase profitability in the long run. The Unit supports the operations of the biusiness through managing all financial processes and decisions such as Accounting Operations, Compliance, Treasury, Credit, Tax and Reporting.

Tax Accountant will be responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and tax compliance requirements. He/she will also be responsible in assisting the Tax Accountant Supervisor in preparing the necessary documents being required in BIR, LGU and other regulatory agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate tax computation and timely filing and payment of all monthly, quarterly tax returns and reportorial requirements shall be filed and paid on time.
• Check the completeness of the tax returns and reportorial requirements (SLSP, QAP, SAWT, etc.).

• Assist and provide supporting documents for tax audits.
• Timely and accurate submission of reconciliations for submission to Tax Accountant Supervisor.
• Timely submission of requested documents as stated in the list of requirements attached in the BIR Letter of Authority (LOA)
• Revisiting all the current memos/procedures and improving the same.
• Regularly checks updates on new tax issuance and tax compliance of the company.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
• Experience in any of the Big 4 auditing firms is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of working experience in tax filings and compliance
• Has solid practical knowledge of tax laws, rules and regulations.
• A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong ability to cope with tight deadlines; 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to exercise sound judgement in dealing with tax or accounting related issues;
• Commendable work ethics and values integrity.
