Team Introduction
The TikTok Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues.

TikTok is seeking an enthusiastic Tax Business Partner to join the tax team to support its rapid business growth. This is a regional role which comprises both tax compliance and advisory aspects.

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for data preparation and collation for tax filings, tax audits and litigation, including working with cross-functional teams to facilitate R&D tax deduction claims.
2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns with support from external tax consultants where relevant.
3. Support internal and external reporting requirements and provide guidance for tax accounting.
4. Assist in optimizing end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other finance teams where relevant.
5. Research on tax legislation changes and assess the implications to the Group and ultimately suggest steps to manage those changes if applicable.
6. Coordinate with in-house tax team and external tax consultants to provide tax advice to existing and new businesses lines.
7. Provide tax support on various projects as well as ad-hoc tax matters.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree or above.
2. 2-4 years of related working experience in large Multinational Corporations and/or accounting firms.
3. Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals.
4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
5. Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
6. A good team player and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in tax R&D matters is a strong advantage.
2. Experience in using ERP systems to gather/analyse data is preferred.
3. Experience in the Internet/TMT industry is a plus.
4. Experience in a regional tax role a plus.
