Tax Manager

Midtown CPA firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its team.

Responsibilities

• Review of business, trusts, estates and individual multi-state tax returns
• Review engagement workpapers
• Identify client tax needs and pursue tax planning opportunities
• Research of tax issues and providing guidance to clients
• Respond to notices from tax authorities and handle tax examinations
• Manage compliance process
• Communicates with Partner of work status and client issues that arise
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients
• Ability to work in a paperless environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation is preferred
• Must have active CPA license or equivalent certification
• 6+ years of public accounting experience,
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Must have excellent client service and technical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
