We are looking to add an experienced and motivated tax manager to join our team. You will work directly with clients to lead tax engagements, provide strategic business planning, and review and train staff accountants. Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in tax accounting and corporate finance, with a strong background in public accounting. This role involves overseeing tax compliance, planning, and reporting while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The Tax Manager will collaborate with various departments to provide strategic financial insights and support the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts/estates. • Provide expertise in estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law to assist clients effectively. • Analyze financial statements, prepare accounting adjustments, and tax research. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies. • Train and mentor junior staff members in tax-related matters, and support team development. • Develop tax planning strategies for small business clients. • Build trusted relationships with clients. • Contribute to operational efficiency and firm growth initiatives. Skills& Experience • CPA Firm Staff Supervisory Experience • Bachelor's degree in accounting • CPA or EA License REQUIRED • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting with a tax focus • Proven expertise in individual and small business tax planning/compliance • Proficient in MS Office, QuickBooks, Xero • Familiarity with tax software: CCH Axcess a plus • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to adapt to current technology, systems, and software • Strong communication and analytical skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Profit sharing • Vision insurance Education: • Bachelor's (Required) Experience: • Tax accounting: 5 years (Preferred) • QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: • CPA (Preferred) • Enrolled Agent (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Mountain View, CA 94040 (Required) Work Location: In person
