Job Description

This reputable CPA firm in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Trust & Estates Tax Manager to join our team. The Trust & Estates Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals in providing comprehensive tax services to high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trust and estate taxation and be able to provide expert tax advice to clients. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and review trust, estate, and gift tax returns (Forms 1041, 706, 709, and related filings) for accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Trust & Estates Tax practice, including client engagements, personnel, and workflow • Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates • Provide expert tax advice to clients regarding trust and estate taxation, wealth transfer planning, and philanthropic planning • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure professional development and growth • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients and team members • Contribute to the growth and development of the firm through business development activities, including networking, proposal writing, and participation in industry events and conferences Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred • CPA required • Minimum of 6 years of experience • Prior experience managing a team of tax professionals • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to trusts and estates • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Salary range:Compensation range for Greater Bay Area – $170,000 – $190,000. This is the typical range of pay for the position; however, actual pay may vary based on experience and location.
