Tax Manager

Ranta CPA + Associates is looking for an experienced tax manager to join our growing team. Our firm is located a just few blocks west of the Seattle Center, in Lower Queen Anne. We work with a diverse range of individuals and closely held businesses, with the majority of our clients residing in the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for entrepreneurially-minded managers to help us continue to grow our firm. This position will be focused on maintaining strong client relationships and working with team members to review and complete tax engagements and provide tax advisory services. We serve diverse clients of varied backgrounds and industries, including real estate, tech, hospitality, health/medical, and professional services, in addition to serving individuals, trusts, and estates. You will work closely with the firm's partners and other managers to complete work assignments, identify opportunities to improve our client experience, and be involved in meaningful client-professional relationships. We are looking for managers with 7+ years experience in public accounting, with proven ability to balance a moderate workload and exceed customer/client service expectations. The ideal candidate will be wanting to hone both small business and personal tax prep and accounting skills. We work with many wonderful clients and seeking individuals to eventually manage their own client list and be long-term members of our team. A desire to always be learning and developing relationships will be key to one's success in this role. We useCCH Axcesstax software and various other software to maintain security and transparency within our firm. We are generally "paperless" and utilize cloud-based technology wherever possible. We are also a business casual workplace that encourages semi-formal attire if we have a scheduled meeting with clients. Our team works a hybrid schedule with at least three (3) days per week in our office. Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have 7+ years’ experience with preparing Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120S, and/or 1120. Experience with an accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and business operations is also preferred. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is required. Positive approach to meeting deadlines and a respectful, collaborative work style is required. We are growing fast and are looking for enthusiastic, kind and capable professionals to join our team. Compensation: Starting compensation will depend on experience, qualifications/certifications, and education. After required employment length, we offer a 4% company-matching 401(k) and medical/dental benefits with an HSA. To be eligible for these benefits employees must work a minimum of 25 hours per week. This is a hybrid position and will be full-time+ during the busy seasons (Jan-Apr, Aug-Oct), with flexible scheduling options during the remainder of the year.
