Tax Partner

This position is in a rural town about 2 hours North of Houston, Texas. (Relocation assistance provided) HHM Talent is assisting a client in their search for a Tax Partner or an experienced Senior Tax Manager with a clear path to Partnership within 1–2 years at their CPA firm. One of the current partners is planning to scale back over the next three years, with his equity available for purchase. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role, help grow the firm, and eventually buy into ownership over time with interest free over 5 years through cash flow. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a tax team of 9 employees • Oversee tax preparation for individual, corporate, and partnership clients, ranging from 1040s to complex corporate returns (no SEC work) • Manage audit engagements, primarily governmental and school clients • Provide consulting services for clients • Contribute to firm growth, including developing client relationships and potentially bringing in a book of business Qualifications: • 9–10+ years of experience in public accounting • Strong technical tax knowledge and leadership experience. • Experience with Lacerte is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits: • Salary: $175k–$300k, with additional upside if bringing a book of business. • Health, dental, vision benefits. • 401(k) with 4% employer contribution. • Paid time off and flexible scheduling (family oriented, results-focused culture, no hour requirement, Fridays flexible) • Relocation reimbursement Equity Opportunity: • Option to purchase equity over time using firm cash flow (interest-free over 5 years) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $175,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Relocation assistance • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • How many years of experience do you have in Public Accounting? • Are you comfortable working in an onsite setting?
