Tax Return Reviewer

About the Role: As a Tax Return Reviewer, you’ll perform final reviews of individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.) prepared by our staff. Your role ensures returns are technically accurate, comply with current tax laws, and maintain a high standard of quality. Responsibilities: • Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and small businesses • Provide feedback and guidance to preparers to ensure compliance and efficiency • Identify potential issues, planning opportunities, and documentation gaps • Communicate effectively with team members on revisions or follow-ups • Stay current with tax law changes Qualifications: • Minimum 10 years of public accounting experience • Strong knowledge of multi-state individual and business tax return preparation and review • Experience with taxation and business management of entertainment industry preferred (not required) • Experience with CCH Profx and QuickBooks • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Details: • Hours: 10–20 hours/week (flexible, seasonal workload) • Location: Midtown Manhattan • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance Work Location: In person
