Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Business Operations Controls Intern/Co-op that will provide support to the Privacy Designate team within TD Insurance. The Intern/Co-op will assist with creating and influencing a culture of Privacy compliance within Insurance, and along with the Designate, from the first point of contact on privacy risk.

The Business Operations Control (BOC) department was formed in 2014 within TD Insurance. The BOC group, together with business partners is responsible for the design and implementation of a mature and sustainable control environment. Reporting directly to the Privacy Designate within the Business Operations Control team the PDA role will specifically be supporting the execution of Privacy Information Access Requests.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Execution of Privacy Access Requests; under minimal supervision receive, track and complete customer Access Requests according to Regulatory requirements including timelines and masking standards. In addition, perform root cause analysis and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Assists with ensuring all relevant policies and procedures meet or exceed minimum regulatory compliance standards of practice and or generally accepted principles and practices.
  • Fosters a culture that promotes ethical practices and a high degree of integrity.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of the work term
  • Proven ability to execute with speed.
  • Ability to multi-task, follow through on deadlines and commitments.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven collaborative approach to problem solving, decision-making and communication.
  • Strong team player, works well under pressure and ability to deal effectively with change
  • Solid Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Analytical and information interpretation skills, as well as trend development
  • Organizational and time management skills
