Technical Architect - Salesforce

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Architect plays a critical role in our delivery of Salesforce Service Cloud and MuleSoft at Ford Credit Europe. We are looking for an individual that has extensive experience in designing and implementing Salesforce solutions at scale, who can bring their portfolio of learnings and best practices to our programme. You will need to be able to design user friendly, maintainable, and scalable platform solutions, working collaboratively with our wider Product Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand architecture landscape, how it fits together and provide strategic and technical recommendations.
• Lead design work and identify areas of ongoing improvements, further development, and implementation, in particular CRM based on Salesforce Service Cloud.
• Analyse business processes and identify optimal solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend innovative approaches typically seeking to exploit new technology components.
• Lead the review and integration of all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
• Communicate directly with stakeholders/end users, understanding their needs, requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions.
• Author Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and ensure design decisions made are laying the right foundations to allow for future enhancements.
• Responsible for creation of high-level and low-level design documentation, working closely with the Development Team to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Provide estimations for development features.
• Mentor and guide team of Developers, fostering their growth and development.
• Oversee and support development of solution, ensuring adherence to designs and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts with colleagues and external teams to deliver exceptional results.
• Review configuration and code quality, ensuring alignment to industry and platform standards.
• Provide recommendations on tooling and managed packages in line with program needs.

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce, preferably at enterprise scale.
• 5+ Salesforce Certifications including Certified Application Architect, Certified System Architect & Platform Developer.
• Must have Salesforce Configuration knowledge including but not limited to Workflows, Validations, Approval Process, Security Model, Data Model with Solution Architect experience.
• Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, Lightening Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Batch and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modelling, data management, and data integration techniques.
• Solid understanding of enterprise application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations aspects.
• Ability to review and integrate technical architecture requirements.
• Able to work independently but also collaboratively with other stakeholders /other Product Team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Maintain knowledge of Salesforce & MuleSoft platform releases.

• Knowledge and experience of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience of Rally program management tool.
• Automotive industry experience.
• MuleSoft platform knowledge.
• Demonstrates continued personal/professional development,
• Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience.
