Job Description

Job Summary: The Technical Business Analyst helps turn ideas into clear, practical solutions that support ARMLS subscribers and staff. Works closely with Product Owners and the Development team. Helps define and document functional requirements. Maps complex business processes. Translates stakeholder needs into actionable development work. Requires analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of how data, systems, and users interact. Requirements & Analysis β€’ Conduct interviews, workshops, and process reviews to gather stakeholder input β€’ Analyze and document current and future-state workflows, systems, and user interactions β€’ Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts Documentation & Modeling β€’ Create visual documentation including process maps, flowcharts, and user journey diagrams β€’ Ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and maintained throughout the product lifecycle Collaboration & Alignment β€’ Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize product backlogs β€’ Participate in product discovery and research activities as needed Sprint Readiness & Quality β€’ Support sprint planning by clarifying requirements and ensuring stories are development ready β€’ Work with the QA team to ensure requirements are testable and validated before release Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems β€’ Experience capturing high-level business requirements and decomposing them into user stories or specifications β€’ Proficiency with visual modeling tools (Lucidchart, Visio, Miro) and ability to produce process flows, decision trees, and data flow diagrams β€’ Experience creating use cases, user stories, business requirements specifications, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams β€’ Ability to communicate, write, and present complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences β€’ Ability to visualize complex systems and workflows, and communicate those visually and verbally to varied stakeholders β€’ Experience supporting Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning) and working within cross-functional Scrum teams β€’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-team collaboration Job Type: Full-time Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits: β€’ 401(k) β€’ 401(k) matching β€’ Dental insurance β€’ Disability insurance β€’ Health insurance β€’ Health savings account β€’ Life insurance β€’ Paid holidays β€’ Vision insurance Schedule: β€’ Monday to Friday Application Question(s): β€’ Are you currently living in Arizona full time? β€’ Are you able to work 2 days a week in the Tempe office?
