Position Summary
Carey International is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the design, execution, and optimization of technology-enabled business processes across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, data, and technology — ensuring that systems, integrations, and insights drive measurable operational improvements and customer value.
The Technical Business Analyst will analyze workflows, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and deliver actionable data solutions through integration, reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and technically proficient, with experience in process mapping, data analysis, and execution within enterprise systems.
This position plays a critical role in Carey’s digital transformation — helping modernize workflows, unify data, and build scalable, data-driven systems that enhance decision-making and efficiency.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
Business & Process Analysis
• Analyze and document current-state business processes across multiple departments, identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for system enhancements and new integrations.
• Develop future-state process maps, technical documentation, and workflow diagrams to guide implementation.
• Support process improvement initiatives from analysis through post-implementation validation, ensuring measurable ROI and scalability.
Execution & Integration
• Partner with IT, engineering, and vendor teams to design and execute system integrations across Carey’s operational, CRM, and financial platforms.
• Define data interfaces, APIs, and workflow logic to ensure seamless system interoperability.
• Participate in testing, user acceptance (UAT), and post-launch reviews to ensure requirements are met and performance is optimized.
• Support migration of data and workflows from legacy systems to modern, cloud-based platforms.
• Ensure all integrations align with Carey’s data governance, compliance, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Data Mining, Reporting & Business Intelligence
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into operational, financial, and customer performance.
• Perform data mining and analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities across business functions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and BI teams to create and maintain data models, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Develop SQL queries, scripts, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Enable self-service reporting capabilities for business teams and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of data outputs.
• Support the establishment of a centralized data warehouse and ensure smooth ETL data flows across systems.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with department heads, product managers, and data teams to gather requirements, validate use cases, and align on execution priorities.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions to define business problems and co-develop technical solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment between business goals and system capabilities.
• Support change management and training efforts related to new processes, dashboards, or systems.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of process and system enhancements.
• Recommend ongoing optimizations to data pipelines, integrations, and analytics workflows based on usage and feedback.
• Ensure documentation, reports, and dashboards meet Carey’s governance and audit standards.
• Maintain detailed change logs, process documentation, and technical specifications for all implemented solutions.
Job Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Data Analytics required.
• Advanced certification in Business Analysis (CBAP), Lean Six Sigma, or Data Analytics preferred.
Experience
• 4–6 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Systems Analyst in a technology-driven organization.
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis, reporting, BI tools, and system integrations.
• Proficiency in SQL and strong familiarity with data structures, relational databases, and APIs.
• Experience working with ETL tools, data warehouses, and process automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, n8n, Zapier).
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi) and workflow documentation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
