Cortex is a B2B company on a mission to help accelerate the energy transition within Commercial Real estate. We offer real estate a tech-enabled suite of services to drive capital investment planning, optimize operations, and improve the energy performance of assets. The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for strategic client experience for our deployed services, which currently include building optimization software, demand response market participation, strategic energy advisory solutions, building equipment retrofit projects and utility bill management. The Cortex Technical Customer Success team works directly with our customers to define outcomes and deliver value through adoption of our smart building analytics software products. We are growing rapidly and looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) with a customer-first mentality that understands the value of cultivating relationships with our customers to drive business outcomes. You will engage with key decision-makers to drive product adoption and customer retention. You will work closely with our Account Executives to manage the customer relationship and will support clients with our product’s technical aspects. Experience in engineering, property management, commercial buildings, and/or commercial real estate property tech is highly required. Key Responsibilities include: Advise & Engage • Drive product adoption through direct engagement with customers and their vendors. This will include communicating with chief building engineers and maintenance staff, facilities managers, third-party controls vendors and engineering firms, and other relevant parties. • Cultivate opportunities to connect clients to the value unlocked through software and services to solve technical challenges in commercial real estate buildings. • Provide technical support to Cortex customers post-sale through strong relationships and expert product knowledge to ensure customer success. Educate & Innovate • Serve as domain expert for both external customers and internal parties supporting strategic development of accounts, achievement of building performance standards objectives and value-based relationship development. • Employ domain expertise as well as product and customer knowledge to inform Cortex product strategy. • Educate customers on industry best practices and strategies to improve building operations while improving asset performance of building from cost, capital and carbon orientation. Onboard & Drive Results • Coordinate and support the customer onboarding process and deep client engagement to understand their objectives and support achievement of those goals through adoption, activation and engagement. • Provide reporting to key decision-makers to communicate the efficacy and value of the product. • Document ongoing client engagement milestones and impact for Account Executive and reporting frameworks.
