We are currently seeking a Technical Functional Analyst to join our Data & Analytics Team at our Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At LATAM Data Hub (LDH), our mission is to build the next generation Data Lakehouse for MetLife, and to help deploy it across various LATAM countries. We have developed a world-class, cloud-native platform, to enable reporting, analytics, data supply pipeline, and real time supply of the data to various digital and non-digital channels. The platform leverages cutting-edge, open source and proprietary technologies to create a highly configurable system that can be adapted to individual market needs quickly, and at a low cost. The platform runs in a fully containerized, elastic cloud environment, and is designed to scale to serve millions of users.
We are looking for a passionate Technical Functional Analyst eager to create business impact through diverse data needs across different functions. This role will support data-driven decisions in critical business areas such as customer engagement, distribution, underwriting, claims operations, risk management, and products. The analyst will tackle complex, open-ended problems and connect the dots across large, disparate information sets.
Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with functional and technical leads, local business SMEs, Operations SMEs, and business analysts to gather requirements and implement ETL solutions.
• Provide technical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, including technology platforms, solution design, security, debugging, profiling, and performance tuning.
• Elicit, document, and manage functional requirements, data mappings, ERD creation, and data models.
• Utilize Tosca for testing automation, defining and running test plans to ensure components meet MetLife's functionality and performance expectations.
• Apply testing expertise to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of data systems, automated processes, and Power Apps solutions.
• Collaborate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure automated solutions meet user requirements and expectations, incorporating user feedback to deliver high-value solutions.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates or those close to graduation are welcome).
• Some experience in data analysis, building large-scale data warehousing, Business Intelligence, or Analytics in a corporate IT environment, preferably in the insurance, financial, or healthcare industry.
• Some experience analyzing and designing solutions for cloud or big data lakes for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Proficiency in SQL and other exploratory tools.
• Experience writing functional requirements and high-level design documents.
• Experience writing validation scripts for data, data integrations, and ETL transformations.
• Strong analytical skills for analyzing situations and deriving optimal, efficient solutions based on requirements.
• Ability to work with unstructured datasets.
• Eagerness to learn new technology concepts and explore possibilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

• Experience in Data Warehouse projects.
• Exposure to Data Science projects.
• Experience in any Data Visualization tools or ETL tools is a plus.
