Technical Lead

Position Information:

BreakForth Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Technical Lead to lead our agile development teams and ensure they follow the technical approach designed for one of our engagements.

Essential Functions

• Lead and manage the teams responsible for development and testing processes in an Agile environment.
• Lead teams to conduct continual enhancements, bug fixes, monitoring, testing and evaluation, analytics, and support activities.
• Serve as the project's ScrumMaster and lead the scrum ceremonies in each sprint.
• Provide expert guidance on engineering direction and strategy.
• Provide integration and coordination of all activities to execute project activities.
• Maintain a solid understanding of requirements and efficiently and effectively lead development teams in meeting them.
• Leverage DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD and process automation.
• Provide hands-on development, including building and configuring applications.
• Ensure team adherence to project quality standards.
• Communicate client specifications to development teams.
• Assist with application troubleshooting and debugging.
• Keep projects on schedule to meet deadlines within sprints.
• Communicate effectively to present solutions, options, and recommendations to various audiences, including client leadership.
• Adept in applying Agile development practices and Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Enforce quality standards and processes related to the customer's technologies, architecture, and security requirements.
• Implement a thorough understanding of human-centered design skillsets, including principles for user interfaces, graphic design, and information design.
• Advise and consult on emerging technologies and comply with customer's business objectives.

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Master's degree in a technical, computer science, or STEM field
• Professional level cloud DevOps certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer professional, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) or equivalent
• Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster or Agile leader equivalent.
• 10 years' experience practicing DevOps methodology supporting operational customers.
• Experience implementing a low-to-high CI/CD pipeline utilizing an approved cross-domain solution.
• 10 years' experience helping development teams apply the Agile framework.

Desired Knowledge/Skills

• Experience supporting programs/projects in the Federal government.
