Bring your visionary instincts to all product lifecycle stages, manage strategic planning, feature selection, and tactical activities.

Your Impact: 

Technical Product Managers (TPMs) collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to build Illumio’s brand, thought leadership, and demand & seller readiness programs. TPMs partner with larger product and marketing teams to execute against our global business strategy and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the buyer’s journey. 

You’re a creative, inquisitive, tenacious professional with a knack for crafting attention-grabbing content and thinking outside the box. You believe in the power of teamwork and are comfortable working in an ever-changing environment. 

Specifically, you’re proficient in modern data center networking technologies and trends. You understand the industry’s direction and how concepts like cloud, containers, virtualization, automation, application development, and security influence vendor offerings and customer purchases. You use this knowledge to connect technology capabilities with business needs, showcasing how we help customers succeed. 

• Trusted advisors for customers, partners, and internal audiences. We create compelling collateral, provide technical training, present at industry events, collaborate with engineering to solve problems, and engage with product management to improve offerings. We’re technical subject matter experts in multiple portfolio areas, providing thought leadership and bridging engineering and product management with customers and field audiences. 

• A high-impact role bridging the product organization (Marketing and Engineering), field (Sales and SEs), and customers. You’ll develop tools, conduct competitive analysis, and engage with product management, sales, and customers to highlight our unique value proposition. We seek a highly motivated, technical self-starter with extensive network and virtualization technology knowledge. You’ll use this to develop compelling messaging, product demos, presentations, and sales training. 

• Partner with Product Managers to define new capabilities, manage customer suggested product ideas/requests, drive bi-annual Strategic Roadmap Planning, deliver roadmap sessions to customers and industry analysts 

• Dissecting, understanding, and communicating our value proposition to build effective, compelling, and easy-to-consume messaging. 

• Working closely with our GTM teams to design effective campaigns that offer compelling content and target intended audiences 

Your toolkit: 

• This is a senior technical function requiring 8+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, selling networking and security products/solutions. 

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, switching) and security technologies. 

• Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders. 

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Plus Points: 

• Experience with Zero Trust security principles and implementation. Strong understanding of security and networking technologies in public clouds and in data centers 

• Familiarity with Illumio's Zero Trust Segmentation platform. 

• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security). 

• Experience with segmentation, endpoint detection and response (EDR), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and other cybersecurity technologies, and machine learning methods and AI 

• Knowledge of micro services, distributed computing, containers, K8s, etc 

• Ability to influence technical discussions with engineering, architects and other PMs. 

• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply to internal and external stakeholders. 

• Experience in engineering or systems engineering 

• Networking/Security certifications (desired) 

• Experience in a high-level technical selling role 

• Willing to travel around 25% of the time 

Compensation:

$213,000 USD - $255,000 USD

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal equity, alignment with market data, or applicable laws.
