Technical Product Manager - US Remote

We have built the fastest-growing, open-source, library of pre-trained models in the world. With over 100M+ installs and 65K+ stars on GitHub, over 10 thousand companies are using HF technology in production, including leading AI organizations such as Google, Elastic, Salesforce, Algolia, and Grammarly.

As these libraries are increasingly used (e.g. 𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚜 has 60k+ stars on GitHub, and 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚘 has been used to make more than 500,000 demos) and used in increasingly creative ways, we need to make sure the libraries continue to serve the complex needs of our users. We are looking for a technical product manager who can help synthesize our vision, feedback from users, and an understanding of the machine learning tooling ecosystem to continue growing the open-source Hugging Face libraries.

About the Role

Roles at Hugging Face are very fluid and dynamic -- we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking on different challenges that will evolve over time. In the short term, the focus of this role is to help develop Gradio (www.gradio.dev), a Python framework that lets users build machine learning demos and other web apps. At this point, Gradio has been used to build ~500,000 ML demos in NLP/CV/speech/biomedical machine learning, including >2,000 demos currently up on Hugging Face Spaces. These demos have allowed machine learning to be accessible to a wide audience -- for the first time in history, anyone with an internet connection can use cutting-edge machine learning models right from their browser.

Gradio is becoming the standard way for developers to build web apps from scratch in Python, in the field of ML. We are looking for a senior technical product manager who can work closely with the Gradio team to help develop the framework and make it suitable for building a diverse suite of data and web applications.

If you are a product manager who has experience with developer tools or machine learning products, you are a good fit for this role. Because product management is such an interdisciplinary and unique career path, this experience can take many forms, and we consider every applicant on an individual basis.
