Position Overview

The Technical Program Manager will help our enterprise applications engineering teams deliver our vision with high transparency and efficiency by driving collaborative, cross-organizational, programs. The ideal candidate is adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to solve problems with both curiosity and tenacity. They are strong communicators, comfortable with ambiguity, and passionate about helping teams be successful in identifying and achieving success outcomes. You will report to the ESE (Enterprise Systems and Experience) Project Management Office Director.
Responsibilities
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget for complex enterprise programs with heavy cross-functional participation, boundary-crossing dependencies, and significant enterprise enablement requirements
- Adhere to overall structure and governance for enterprise projects to ensure successful delivery of the business outcomes committed
- Responsible for a holistic project communications plan and for the creation and delivery of project status communications without oversight
- Facilitate fact-based, data-driven decision-making with the appropriate domain expertise and project governance
- Present clear options and recommendations to the steering committee when their input is needed
- Represent technical, business and customer/user concerns; be able to summarize and evaluate considerations attendant to each
- Identify, mitigate risks & manage issues to resolution
- Drive course corrections for deliveries if/when necessary - involving the right people at the right time
- Demonstrate strong, independent judgment when escalating risks
- Assist in the removal of tactical and organizational impediments and manage issues arising from daily activities; Engage with stakeholders as necessary to make decisions/clear roadblocks that enable the project team to continue to move forward
- Nimble in adapting project plans to changing conditions
- Ensures projects align with high-level business objectives; challenges business outcomes as they are defined and ratified
- Improves processes and identifies new program management opportunities
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Minimum Qualifications
- BA, BS, or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
- 7+ years of applicable technical project management experience, preferably in the customer success and sales arenas
- PMP Certification a plus

- Very strong communication skills and exceptional planning skills
- Adapt interpersonal skills and relationship building
- Solid understanding of and solid experience with varied Systems Development Lifecycle models
- Expertise with best practices in software development release and distribution internally and externally (potentially including component management)

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $126,200 and $204,160. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
