Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with experience working with high-performing and highly reliable enterprise-grade solutions. In this role, you will be working to coordinate both internal and external facing software development projects and data transfer activities between Power TakeOff and our utility customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate the Utility onboarding process to ensure timeline changes are communicated to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate potential issues to senior management.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Ensure project tasks are being executed according to plan, and adjust plans as required to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor project progress, provide regular status updates, and conduct regular project status meetings.
  • Manage project resources, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and resolving resource conflicts.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in technical project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assertive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, databases, systems, and software development lifecycles.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Aha is a bonus.

Location & On-Call Requirements

  • Full-Time Remote
  • Located within Canada

Location & TravelΒ 

  • This is a remote position and a fully remote company.Β 
  • Power TakeOff does have ties to Denver, Colorado, and Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, with a number of employees based in those markets.Β 
  • Travel not required, but Power TakeOff does have events on occasion and pays for travel and accommodations for them.
