Technical Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Support Representative works closely with the R&D staff acting as a liaison between the sales team and customers by providing coating technical support, coating investigations and technical reports.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. W ork closely with research and development on flow assurance and improvement and anti-corrosion coating advancement, product recommendations, as well as system analysis.

1. Provide internal product training, presentations for individual customers as well as at industry events.

1. Follow-up with customers after sale. Maintain good public relations with frequent communications.

1. Maintain good public relations with other oil-related companies and establish familiarity with competitors' products and services.

1. Establish and maintain communication lines with region sales representatives.

1. Communicate with all levels of personnel and maintain good interpersonal relationships within the organization as well as with customers.

1. Assume other responsibilities as required.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Support Representative is responsible for providing technical support to the world-wide sales group to help maintain customer satisfaction. The incumbent must use self-direction in performing work. General supervision is received but performance is monitored through sales force and customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

The Technical Support Representative position requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering from an accredited university. 0 to 1 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required. This position requires approximately 25% overnight travel with the potential of some international travel.
