Job Description

✍🏽 About Writer

Great writing for everyone. That’s our vision.

Writer is the leading generative AI platform built for the needs of companies and teams. Unlike other AI products, Writer's training happens securely on a company's own provided data and their style and brand guidelines. The result is content that's consistent and on-brand, whether the initial text came from humans or from AI.

Writer is enterprise-grade with all of the security and data privacy features needed for organization-wide rollouts. Writer is deployed widely at leading companies like UnitedHealthcare, Accenture, Intuit, UiPath, HubSpot, Spotify, Hilton, Uber, and Deloitte.

πŸ›£ Traction and backing

Our customers include Twitter, Intuit, UiPath, Pinterest, and United Healthcare. It's a great community of writers, content strategists, copyeditors, and editorial leaders. They are a true community and the content vanguard. We have a NRR of +130% and we're just getting started.

Our funnel is large and growing fast (+1M visitors/month, thousands of weekly trial starts). This is important, as you'll have nearly instant feedback on the features you'll be building or the growth experiments you'll be running.

Late last year, we received a $21M Series A led by Insight Partners, with participation from Google's Gradient Ventures, GTMFund, and a world-class group of founders, operators, and angels.

🎯 Why it's the perfect time to join

We're 50 people. There's a lot of room to contribute and grow an enduring SaaS company. You will have unquestionably made it happen.

We have strong PMF. We have strong DAUs and deep usage. People spend hours in Writer. The work you'll do will have a direct impact on some of the top companies in the world β€” as well as users who depend on us to sharpen their writing.

Build it, nail it, scale it. We're at 'nail it.' If you like helping turn dirt paths into smooth roads, now is the perfect time to join. We've grown 5x and are running fast towards aggressive β€” and achievable β€” milestones.

πŸ“ About this role

Every company grows differently, and we grow when we help our users write better, faster.

As our first Technical Solutions Architect, your objective will be to improve the efficacy of outputs customers receive from Writer by building repeatable ways to implement our custom apps and APIs. Success will mean a meaningful increase in the number of customers actively leveraging these solutions.

Your positivity, sense of curiosity, and ability to create champions from early adopters in the AI writing space will help shape our entire culture. If you have a builder mentality, this is the role for you.

You'll be reporting to our Head of Product.

πŸ¦ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Your responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer point of contact for all technical implementation needs of our custom app development and API usage

  • Work with both customers and prospects to scope their business and technical needs, including tools, workflows, data structure, and integration points

  • Deeply understand customer workflows, use cases, and painpoints when it comes to delivering incredible content

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Writer solutions, the broader AI and LLM landscape, as well as our customer’s ecosystem so you can offer prescriptive solution recommendations

  • Communicate limitations and propose solutions, including their scope, resource needs, and projected timelines

  • Develop and configure solution recommendations in partnership with our AI/NLP and Engineering teams, and your customer counterparts

  • Work alongside Product and Engineering to QA the outputs from the implementation, calibrate, and iterate until we have an optimal output

  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, ensuring we deliver effective solutions in a timely manner as part of our Implementation process

  • Own the project plan for implementation, ensuring we have clear deliverables and accountabilities for both Writer and the customer

  • Develop new processes, systems and workflows to reduce time to value for our customers

  • Act as a resource and technical liaison for our Partner ecosystem, ensuring they understand the capabilities and use-cases possible via our APIs and custom apps

  • Ensure we have collateral, documentation and processes to support our customers in their technical integration needs

  • Communicate the voice of the customer back to our Product and Engineering teams so we can make, relevant enhancements to our product

⭐️ Is this you?

  • 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or solutions architecture

  • Experience with generative AI and prompt engineering is a huge plus

  • Nice-to-have: Python chops

  • An excellent communicator and collaborator, able to take complex technical concepts and translate to practical business language for non technical audiences

  • Customer outcome oriented: a laser focus on delivering solutions that create meaningful business results

  • Excellent discovery skills to uncover customer needs

  • Tenured problem solver, able to identify the root cause of issues and work collaboratively to resolve

  • Experience managing complex implementation projects with dependencies

🍩 Benefits

  • We don’t spend frivolously, but we do take care of our own. Besides smart, sincere colleagues and a vibrant work environment, we are proud to offer:

  • Employer-covered medical plans, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • FSA

  • Competitive parental leave policy (parents actually work here!)

  • Generous PTO

  • Company stock options

  • 401k plan with employer matching

  • Flexible schedules
